I think I changed my mind about writing another one. I started it, but I think I would be writing it trying to get high votes, and I don't want to write like that.

This is the THIRD day it's been absolute bottom in the list.

29,30,1,2,3

So over 50% of the time, it's been dead bottom.

How odd is that, unless more votes means you are farhter down on the list statistically speaking

Alex, how can you tell your story is on the bottom of the list? By doing some research, you can find out if it is at or near the top, but how do you know when it is on the bottom? Mine stands at 4.21, by the way, which willl be pretty low, but maybe not the bottom. Others may have gotten more troll bombs than I have.

Sounds like you may have a strong contender there for last place dis-honors, unless Laurel messes things up with a troll sweep.

For whatever reason, the numbers have seemed a little screwy this time and revised figures have been few and fair between. I'm not worried, but it does cut down on the fun just a bit.

Yeah I meant the bottom of the story list, the probablility of it is soo astonishingly low to be there 3 times in 5 days.

It just makes me think since this oddity has soo many votes if the story list position is weighted in some way for stories with fewer votes to be farther up.

How did you guys get so many votes? I'm not even at a hundred yet. Could it be because I submitted my story the day before Thanksgiving? Did the lack of reads/votes during the holiday weekend put me at a disadvantage somehow?

Possibly. There are other factors, too. Category is a big one, and having a solid fan base is another. Plus, on the day my story was up I was at the top of both the holiday list and the new stories list, and I think that helped too. I got over 120 of my 150 votes within the first day.

Catagory and length seem to be big factors. Translation a 1 page incest thing means everyone and their brother votes and it make syou vote totals for everything else ever writtn by you look like total suck in comparison

Doesn't mean they are HIGH votes though
