Speaking of giving head, make that, heads-up, I've just submitted another contest entry. If you liked Xmas Xcess, odds are you'll hate this sucker.

It's short (2100 words) and has no sex. One character is in the Klan, three others would like to be, the "N" word appears, there's a cross-burning, and a vicious dog attack.

To seal its fate, the story will be in the Humor and Satire category.

Don't feel too bad DP, That's only slightly less that TWICE my votes and I have had only one since the 23rd. My 'regular' stuff in N&N does better. Not only are they not voting but I have not even broke 4K reads yet, so they are not even looking. So you are doing much better than I am.

Since so many folks have submitted more than one entry, I'm giving some serious thought to writing another one, a somewhat darker continuation of Another Lonely Christmas.

One question: How do you guys make your sig links all pretty and Christmasy like that (red and green)? I'm tired of having my links in "Dark Orchid" all the time.

So excited - My romantic, erotic holiday story is up!

It's a romantic “feel good” story featuring an older/younger lesbian seduction in a cozy snowbound chalet. The title is “Shy Virgin’s Fear Becomes Joy,” but the REAL title is “Love and Intimacy – Denise’s Joyful Holiday Discoveries.”

Here is the interesting part for authors: This story’s outline and many of its details were inspired by a 20-year-old woman in Holland who enjoys my fiction. She sent a detailed letter which concluded, “60 percent of this actually happened to me, and I fantasize about the remaining 40 percent . . .”

Oooo-eee! That got the creative juices flowing! Thanks so much to the "real" Denise.

Here's another interesting item or question for authors: The number of "votes" and comments in just the few hours is up is amazing - 52 and 8 (plus 4 emails). Is this what happens when a story is entered in the Winter Holiday contest - it gets more attention? Related to that, is the standard by which contest stories are rated a bit tougher, because more discriminating readers tune in? I ask because while the current score is OK (4.76), it is lower than my other stories. Maybe these higher profile contest stories just attract more trolls? Either way I think I'm happy: Either the real "non-troll" rating is very high, or the more sophisticated and discriminating crowd generally approves.

I know I should not care about these aspects but just can't help myself, even though suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous trolls usually diminishes my enjoyment of the Literotica publishing experience. Because of course the real satisfaction comes from the feedback of incredibly generous readers, and the pure joy of creation.

Rumple and Dp and Ogg may know. I have some suspicions. Romance usually ranks pretty high. My most voted on stories were in group and anal, and I know incest gets lots of votes. But I think the fans of those categories can be a little demanding and don't always score high. Don't know for sure, tho.
