Winter Blahs

I like winter, but it always seems to be a time when I feel really low and shitty for no reason.. Usually something goes wrong around winter time each year to make me feel low, but this time its just SAD I guess, or me being far too sensitive.

Fair enough.

I plan on doing it maybe 3 times this winter.

I also have a Mediterranean complexion under all this winter pallor (who'd know?) I think my first actual burn didn't occur until I was about 17 or 18 and being stupid.

I also recommend underdoing it, which no one seems to do. I did 10 minutes of a 12 minute bake and I stopped the moment a depressed thumb on my breastbone showed at all pink. Frankly I'm well lotioned and I'm after the mild high without lexapro.

I hate myself when I feel the urge to do the 'Mom thang' and put information like I did out there. It has nothing to do with my take on whether you or our Bunny are competent enough to make the best decisions for yourselves.

I actually got a real shock when I saw Clare Oliver interviewed just a week before her death, which was recent. I mean here is this bright, articulate, attractive Australian woman of Asian heritage who is dying of cancer at a mere 26 years of age. I was astounded, her message made an impact.

Ever heard of Hawaiian Tropic, you must have. We would slather the sun tan oil all over ourselves. It smelled so good it was addictive. How things have changed, wouldn't even buy make up now unless it has a reasonable sunscreen factor here.I don't know where from but I have the slightest hint of olive underlying my skin tone, so far I have been 'lucky'.

i have read through all your posts, and thank you for the different ideas to hopefully help this (as my father used to say) backthefuckawayfrommeoryoumaydie causeidontfeelliketakingshit attitude.

And yes, he would string them together in long words..lol.

Being part Cherokee, i tend to have some color to the skin; and dont like the suntanning beds cause i burn too easy in them.

Besides the actual Vitamin D pills, what are some regular foods that have Vitamin D in them? i tend to not like to take meds unless i have to.

As to those lights, where could i find them? What stores, and what would i ask for?

Miss Rebecca, please don't apologize for a hijack that was said for decency of others sake. That's nothing to apologize for. ~applauds you~:rose:

And if this "run-on worded" feeling is SAD, why couldn't it have been called GLAD? Would have at least sounded less moody...damn.

This has some good info on sources etc.....as to where to get the lights, I think mostly health product outlets and pharmacies, though no doubt you can buy them online as well.

vitamin d fortified milk.

Right after posting right above you, i went and actually drank 2 full glasses of that stuff. Had to disguise the taste of the 2nd with some chocolate syrup though.

Usually only use milk on my cereal or in cooking, not drinking it straight. And now i remember why.
