Haven't live in the "Peg" for many years. Grew up around Tuxedo Park. Used to spend many weekends in Assinaboine Park, at the Zoo, and many a winter skating on the pond in there.

Transplanted now to the West Coast. Love it too.

Ah, today was a fantastic day - weather wise anyway. Overall, it was pretty good (except finding out I'm still needed for huge amounts of overtime at work - still, I guess it is good to be needed); went for a nice walk, had lunch at the Fixx.

...hmm, again I have run out of blather to go on about. Unless people want to talk about vampires and such...and this just doesn't seem like that type of thread.

Hey, has anybody here (well, anybody actually living in Winnipeg anyway ) noticed that channel 11 (the SHAW channel-thingy) is showing live footage of the Eatons building as their background for community announcements while playing CJOB? I guess they are hoping people will want to watch the building come down live (go Richardson family!!).

So, that is all I have to say for now....

I live quite near Tuxedo in River Heights. Pretty much am around the park on a daily basis. Last time I was to Vancouver though was in 1992. Gotta get out there more often.

I think, IIRC the street I lived on was "Girton Blvd."(sp) Do they still have the lights and skating on the pond in the park? I used to love that.

The building comes down in a month once they get the asbestos out.

Next big project: The new Manitoba Hydro Building abd Canwest tower.

Well, it looks like preparations are being made for the downtown festival - lots of barricade signs are on the median on Portage, just waiting to block off traffic (on Friday, presumably). I guess I have to find out where my bus will come on the weekend to go to work, as it won't be able to get down Portage.

Ok so I promised to post pics

So I tried to put new pics up today since I keep promising too but they are too big. And Im no puter smartie so I dont know how to shrink them. I dont want them as small as an AV so Im not going to put them on the resizing pics for AV's thread. Anyone here know how to help me? Let me know if you do. I dont know why I cant fit them on. I took them with the same camera I did the wet t-shirt one. Hummmmmmmm weird. Ok someone help me out if you want to see pics lol. Sooooooo 23 sleeps! Then I get to Winnipeg! Ooooooo and what a weekend I have planned with Jo! Tho not quite the same as the story he wrote teehee. Nice to see the thread so busy again. Tho I do hate showing up and having to read so many posts and catch up lol. Damn I need to spend more time on here! Oh well and as I say that im off again lol. Talk to you all later!

I just sent the pic of me in the rain(the one I posted here) to a bi friend of mine. She set it as her desktop on her puter! lmao. She has also proposed to me and asked if she could bury her face between them and live there. Lmao.....talk about an ego boost! Oh I also sent her 2 other pics of me in my robe that are much more revealing. Ones I might be persuaded to put up here if I can get them resized! lol Oh well ok had to tell you all that I think its hilarious! I cant beleive my tits are a desktop now lol.

Sweetone, if you are using Microsoft Photo Editor, there is an option under "Image" to resize. Just open your pic, chose resize, and it will give you some sizing arrows. decrease a couple, save, then check the "properties." shouldnt take to many to do. If you want to send them to me at my go mail, I can do it for you.
