Its boiling out today! God went to drop off a bunch of resumes(looking for jobs sucks!) and it was soooooo hot out there! Teehee had the air conditioning on full blast in the car. That was better. Theres a bit of a wind...enough to mess up my hair a bit but certainly not as bad as it has been here lately. Lol ok now im sure youve all heard enough about weather. Nice to see you too veuns. Those funky Black&Blue Balls
Hey all!
I'm curious about how many 'peggers checking this thread out have been to the Black and Blue Balls. For those not in the know, they are Fetish socials, usually held every couple of months or so. The last time I went to one, it was at Ozzies (the Osborne Village Inn), and I think that is where they still are.
I used to work at them, actually, doing temporary tattoo work - of course, this was mostly back when the B&B's were at the Junkyard (which is now the downtown home of A&B Sound) - and I am sorta curious if anybody here was someone that I have worked on in the past. It has been about a year and a half since I last worked at one.
Anyway, that is about that. I hope to get a couple of responses...
..oh, and to nightspots in the city, well Die Mashine used to be pretty good (especially on Wednesday nights - Goth/Industrial night), but I'm pretty sure it is closed down. It might be worth checking out Wellingtons (I think it is open again). I personally prefer places like the King's Head or Toad In The Hole. There are also a few strip clubs (Centerfolds, Teasers) if that is more your thing. Or Club 200 if you swing that way...

I heard about the B&B Ball from a user here on Lit (funny, lived in the peg all my life and had to hear about this online) I was going to go to the last one, but I didn't have anything to wear, and no one to go with. Maybe in the future. I hope.

I usually found that I quite enjoyed the B&B balls - I have met some very nice people there. Plus, some of the vendors there have some very cool stuff for sale.

What happens at the B&B balls...
Well, basically, you have a room full of people in various states of (un)dress, mostly in some sort of fetish wear (usually black leather or latex, but there have been some cool variations - especially at the Halloween B&B)(it costs a lot extra to go in just wearing street clothes - but you can avoid that extra cost by stripping down to your underwear), drinking, listening and dancing to cool music (mostly industrial/Goth, with a bit of variations here and there). There are lots of vendors (usually selling fetish gear, jewellry, doing temporary tattoos, and lots of other things), and sometimes there are fashion shows and poetry readings. Sometimes more elaborate stage presentations.
I suppose that is about it. Quite a few people go off to various parties afterward, where more 'intimate' or 'naughty' stuff happens, but the B&B itself is nice. Lots of half-naked men and women wandering about, stuff like that.

If you are wanting to find out about the next one, and about tickets, both Ragpickers and Discreet Boutique have info and tickets (usually, anyway) - I think a few other places in town also have info/tickets, but I'm not sure which ones. There are usually flyers around town (in the Exchange and Osborne Village, mostly) saying when the next one is and how to get tix.

venting
Sorry to burst in here and bum everyone out but I desperately need to vent. So if you have no intrest in my venting which would be understandable please just skip me so I cant ruin your good day.
I cant even talk to my friends on msn right now I had to leave my chat room cause I am in such a bad mood I cant stand to talk to them. And Im so upset im on the verge of tears and Im trying very hard not to let them fall since the person who put me in such a mood is still in the room with me right now. Its my brother. And I realize yall are just gonna think oh brother troubles sibling stuff and thats perfectly ok cause Id assume the same thing. But trust me its not normal sybling stuff. I get anxiety attacks just being in the same room as him. And ive had to spend hours with him everyday for the past 3 months and if he isnt gone soon im going to lose it. I have been subletting my apartment to him for the past month cause he was staying with my mom and she couldnt handle it so she asked me to move in with her for a month and let him stay at my place. So I did. Even tho I knew it was a bad idea. Well wanna go look at my place and tell me I was wrong? There are stains all over the brand new carpeting. The cushions from my couch are sprayed all over the place. There are bugs in there cause he thought it was necessary to have not only the balcony door open(thats fine) but the screen door as well(not fine). Tel me why the hell does the screen need to be open if the glass door is open? Doesnt make any sense to me! The dishes havent been done in who knows how long? Hes had all his friends over sleeping at my place when I specifically stated when he moved in no friends in my apartment. They have been sleeping on my couch! IN MY BED! Not to mention the no drinking rule I had since I know how he is when he is drunk. Well hell he had a bloody poker party the other night with all his friends and a shit load of beer! Oh ya way to follow my rules! He has been downstairs everyday eating the food I bought for myself and the food my mother bought for her. I didnt have my internet hooked up on my puter cause I wasnt about to pay for him to use it. So he is downstairs everyday kicking me off the puter when my mom is at work. Well I get booted out of my apartment and I now have to get off the puter so the king can play? Oh no I dont think so! Hes supposed to move out today. So he wanted to delete a few things from moms puter. Ok 30 mins. Ya an hour and 15 minutes later he gets off and tells me like its my fault that he didnt get all he needed to done but he is letting me back on. Letting me?! Excuse me but he is certainly not the person in charge here! Yes I sound like a 10 year old having a hissy fit but when you put up with all the major shit I have from him the little stuff gets even worse. The only reason he doesnt kick the shit out of me like he used to everyday is cause now Im bigger then him and if he ever came at me again to hit me or beat me with some object he knows Id put him in the hospital! For a nice long learn how to talk eat and speak again stay. I have had about all I can take from him. When he leaves tonight Im going to get my key look him straight in the face and tell him he better not even think of calling me. I have no intrest in seeing him for a very long time if ever again. I do not intend to include him in family matters or functions. And if the rest of my family does(which I honestly seriously doubt) I will not be part of it. I refuse to see talk or hear from him after tonight. I have put up with him doing this to me for 20 years and I have had all I can take. As if I dont have enough shit in my life I cant handle I really need him on top of it. Bastard knows Im on anti-depressants cause I wouldnt be here without them and yet he still pushes me way past my limit! WTF?! But then again the world revolves around him so why does any of this matter?
OK think Im done now...again Im sorry. I hope I didnt wreck anyones mood if they read this. Or anything like that. Just had to get it out of me before I burst.
