"That would probably be the best thing to do. I think that our carrier is going to be the only thing able to destroy those BFG carriers because if not then we have to find a way to do it ourselves and that is going to take a lot."
"Okay... I am willing to risk anything," Blair said before he strapped himself into his simulator and waiting for the program to start up. As soon as it did he knew that he was in trouble.
A huge BFG Carrier flew out. It was surrounded by millions of fighters, Mantis fighters. "That would be the Flag Ship, the Mantis overlord flies in there", says Dima. He flew into the Carrier. Inside stood a full battalion of MAntis warriors. They quickly shredded the fighters.
"Just follow me!" shouted Dima. He grabbed a huge laser rifle that had been hidden and jumped out of the fighter. Blair did the same. They sneaked behind the Mantis troops, and went into the actual Carrier. After about an hour or so of traveling, they reached a huge door. Dima brought up the rifle and fired. It created a hole just big enough for him to get through. He crawled through, and Blair followed his example. It was a huge room. At least 2 X 2 miles. A huge throne was in the middle. On the throne sat the King Manta. He was 50 feet tall, and instead of the standard 8 tentacles, thousands of the titanium limbs circled and twirled on his huge back. Surrounding him were a thousand wives, and standing by were millions of Mantis troops. Since this was a simulator, the enemy could not do anything but attack. So they quickly ended the simulation with their guns.
As soon as the simulation had ended Blair got out and looked at Dima, "What the hell was that thing. Because if that was the Manta King then that is the ugliest thing that I have ever seen in my life. Give me the Kilrathi any day and that is saying a lot. I would rather face the cats then face something that is fifty feet tall and looks like it could kill me without a second thought."
"It was a simulation. In real life, the Manta King would have tortured us for millenia, for the Mantis healers know how to make one live forever, unless killed", said Dima.
Blair shuddered at the thought of being tortured for a thousand years as it was not something that he would like to go through. He then sighed and though Give me the cats any day
"That would probably one of the best things to do," Blair said as he walked towards the door. As it slowly opened he turned to Dima, "Come and get me after you upload it. I'm going to go and have a little rest."
Dima nodded. He went to the holograph projector. He asked for an image of the Nemesis, their Carrier. He downloaded all the information onto a disk. He walked over to the Sims and installed the Nemesis. But he was too tired to try it out. So he went back to his room, and flopped face down onto the bed.
Blair sat there and looked out at the stars and wondered if this stupid war would ever be over. It had been going on for most of his adult life and didn't show any signs of stopping which was depressing him to no end. He shook the thoughts away as he knew that they would do him no good whatsoever and lay back on his bed, looking up at the ceiling. As he lay there he yawned and realised how truly tired he was and closed his eyes. He was asleep soon after that.
OOC: Angelius... do you remember when you just came here? You started that one thread, the one almost exactly like this one. I joined in, but then you, for some reason, left for a while. Remember that? You really have progressed since then. A lot.
OOC: Whoa.... I remember that thread now. I have gotten a lot better since then (thank god for that). Thanks Morgoth, but you deserve a lot of the credit as well.
OOC: (blushing deeply) I wouldn't say that. But let me count the people who say I've helped them. Poohlive, Cryo, and you. That's not nearly as amny as let's say... Ambrosious or Ravenloft.
OOC: But I have to give the credit to some one because if I didn't then my ego would go through the roof and I don't want that to happen or I would become a pompous git which I don't want.
IC: Blair woke up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes then looked around his room. He got up off his bed and stretched before changing into a pair of shorts and t-shirt. He consulted his map before finding out where one of gyms was before heading out of the room, running towards it.
Dima jerked up with a start. "Wha...?" he asked. Then he remembered where he was. "Oh, yeah", he grumbled to himself. He stood up and stretched. He pulled on gym shorts and a loose t-shirt. He also ran towards the gym.
As soon as he reached the hallway that led to the gym he caught the sight of a figure off to his right and saw Dima running towards him. Dima nodded at Blair and together the two of them ran towards the gym- making a race out of it which Dima won easily. As soon as Blair entered the gym he walked over to where the weights sat and began to workout, using them.
Blair looked over at Dima and laughed, "Wimp. I could do that in my sleep."
He then continued on the weights that he had in his hands, not wanting to overdo it. After a few minutes of working on the weights Blair walked over to the punching bag and began to slam his fists into it.
