Has anyone using a dial-up noticed there system REALLY running slow on the internet after downloading it?

My system has alot of memory and storage.....so that's not it

I run my system tools regularly

I've freed up my start menu

I removed old and un-used programs

I dial up speed is the same as before the download

Can't figure it out......just to get a page to load takes forever!!

any thoughts?

I'm using dial up, but I used the CD.

My downloading and web page loading is fine.
Maybe its holiday traffic?

It must have been because today it's moving quite well!
