Are the pics saved on your hard drive or are you hotlinking them?

I know very little about how to attach something but I just use the attach button on the bottom of the page and go to where I saved the pic and hit ok. Is that how you are doing it too?

yeah these pics are on my hard drive and I was just using the attach file function and browing back to my harddrive. I thought maybe it was a post count thing or maybe I need to hotlink them.
