I like films, of all kinds because I like stories and writers and am awful to watch movies with as I talk the 'plot' and the characterization incessantly which infuriates my partner of the moment.

I also like actors and actresses who bring a story and a film to life in their own particular style.

John Wayne was one of a kind, as was Robert Mitchum, Clark Gable, Paul Newman, Curt Jurgens, Rutger Hauer and the newer ones, Tom Cruise, Matt Damon, Keanu Reeves, and many, many more, both old and new, that was just off the top of my head in introducing William Holden as, 'one of a kind'.

I watched "Breezy", tonight, the story of an older man and younger girl, back in the 'free love' hippy era and was reminded of "The Earthling" an old man, dying, and a young lost boy in the Outback of Australia, both fine films in their way, my humble opinion.

Did I just use the word 'humble'? OMG. oops, I should recant.

William Holden, who was in films since the late 1930's, earns the place of, 'one of a kind', in my book anyway.

"I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore..." as I recall one of his lines from a film called "Network", trusting memory here not gonna google, but he had many, many films to his credit, "Picnic", which has a wonderful musical theme, was another one.
