no- america just won't be good enough in 20 years, never mind 10!!! they just don't have the quality of players like other countries do, there league is about our division 3/championship level.

If football takes off at grass roots level they might do it in 30 years possibly because they have such a HUGE pool pf talent to choose from, but at the minute- kids still prefer baseball, american football or basketball cos thats where the money is!!!

Well since I just watched the game and am bummed... Not this year... But I will say that ESPN has done a great job promoting the World Cup cause I'm not a soccer fan and I have watched a lot more soccer then ever before.

That said, I'm glad that the US won the group, one thing that did suck though was the fact that a lot of the supporters and coach seemed to have this misconception that they well and truly deserved to be in the final 16. I'm sorry, but the US never actually got the point, they were the underdogs here.

Put it into terminology you'd understand, its freshmen v seniors - they only met a small handful of the teams, the Portuguese, Spanish and German sides are far more superior. I am hoping for a win today, not going to watch the game with this ideal that we will win just because of who we are
