Let's face it, Michael Richards can never play another character. Do you think Jim Parsons will suffer the same fate?

Also: Applied Physics > Theoretical Physics.

I don't think he's nearly as limited. Unless he calls people nigger in a comedy club. Then all bets are off.

Applied Physics > Theoretical Physics.

Heresy. Experimental physicists talk only to theoretical physicists. Theoretical physicists talk only to mathematicians. Mathematicians talk only to god.

I like stuff. Lasers, rockets, explosions...

Evidently he's doing a great job resurrecting Jimmy Stewart's role in Harvey on Broadway.

I saw The Sound of Music a few years ago with Barry Williams in the lead. All I could think of was "That's Greg Brady!"

I was not expecting to see him as an announcer at the Tony Awards. He has the ability to shut the Sheldon spigot off.

You know......Harvey is one of my Top 10 favorite movies. And I fucking LOVE Jimmy Stewart.

But I can see this casting. I don't think it would suck.

As has already been stated....

My bad. Should have read the entire thread through first.

But who does that?

Will William Shatner ever play anyone but Captain Kirk, I mean T J Hooker, I mean Danny Crane.

Acting ability apparently has little to do with it.

Good point, however, Harry Potter has moved on even though neither will probably ever hurt for money ever again as they continue to earn in syndication...

Seinfeld is still on somewhere every day...

Shatner from an Eddie Murphy cop movie...

The women use to OH! Will...

Now they just say, oh Will...

I think the movie was "Show Time."

You think those Shatner characters were as iconic as Kramer? In my opinion, Kramer is probably the most... what's the word?... well, iconic. Maybe Radar from MASH comes close, or Archie Bunker.

You are associating an actor with a role. I'm associating a role with an actor. That is, the character is bigger than the actor.

I never read the Potter books, or saw the movies so I can't say. I've never had Beiber Fever either.

I have been here when the movies were being watched by Princess...

Pretty damned insipid. I didn't really "watch" them as much as try to ignore them.

Then again, in HS I read LotR more than once. I got the Director's cut of them. Hard to sit through, but I really like Frodo in "Wilfred."

Does this really matter?

Those movies are beneath my intellect. I prefer Kevin Costner movies.
