this is the problem with "socialist" countries and those believable in the failed idea of socialism.

back to my point. I'm thinking that Greece will miss their payment tomorrow. its only 436 million euro.

why does obama want to make America into Greece 2.0

They may have a 30 day grace period, but if they send the right signal it won't matter to jittery investors.

yeah, think the German's realized that Greece would default and didn't fill in that 'what if' part in the contract.

just another problem with socialism.

long live the obama socialist regime!

Nah...they should just borrow more, everyone knows you fix a debt/deficit problem by spending money you don't have on shit you don't need. ;)

Fix debt, no. Fix a flailing economy. Yes.

what I find most funny about people like you, is your lack of creating wealth yet have an opinion about the economy when the only part you have in the economy is sucking down tax payer money. you know, money that OTHER people created

I agree, but in order for spending to fix a flailing economy you have to be extremely careful, have a well thought out/evaluated plan etc. on how you will go about spending/investing the taxpayer dollar for it to work.

An over night trillion dollar check to the 1% for their failed companies (toxic assets/bad debt), 800k dollar Vegas parties, not to mention all the fat that we know could be trimmed off various budgets/agencies/programs etc. etc. etc.

we have all seen the examples out there and they are numerous and outrageous (500 dollar toilet seats, pointless military bases). And they are all TERRIBLE way's to stimulate the economy. We have to stop doing that shit....and I won't blame any one agency/program etc. because the problem is systemic. I see it running from my local school district all the way to the top. Given that, I would start with the house/senate....clean that pile of corrupt buuuuull shit up first.

Hopefully, Greece will completely fall apart and be forced to leave the European Community.
Then, Greece will become cheap again for tourists from the wealthy European countries. Tourists may go back to Greece instead of flying to Asia.
There’s a golden lining in every disaster.
America is quite cheap for tourists now (with your dollar down the drain) so there is hope for you yet in attracting tourists. Good to see JP Morgan doing their bit for the American reputation.
Sadly, European tourists will only go to New York, though. There is no interest in the rest of America.

government is never the solution. government is inept at spending as people in government just don't care. the only thing those in government care about is keeping their lush and lazy job

the solution is to allow people to keep their own money and not allow the terrorist in government to steal it!

GSA is only one dept, only one party, how much more wasteful spending is out there? those in government are too afraid to "open" the books as they KNOW billions if not trillions are wasted each and every year

I thought we were more Roman then Grecian... I mean, look at our culture. Next week on FOX watch Lions Eat Christians.

I have a great idea for a reality show- you take 20 people addicted to the internet, and put them in a house with no internet access EXCEPT for one computer. No phones, no tablets- nothing. I'd call it "one computer". You wouldn't have to eliminate anyone, because it would become a bloodbath.

Great enterprises are about as rare as new prime numbers, and most new enterprises fail quickly. All government has accomplished since 1913 is socialize loss and privatize profit.

It started with Jefferson. He bought Louisiana from Napoleon for 2 cents an acre (with tax money) and sold it to taxpayers for one dollar an acre.

I don't know how that would be any better. We're Americans, and as such, notoriously bad at managing money on an individual level to. We just SUCK at money management. The vast majority of individuals are just as badly in debt as our government is. We're a democracy. Have you ever stopped to think that, as a whole, we elect people who are like us. That this seriously is the best we can do. And if you think you can do better- maybe you should try to get some backing and run. If your populace can't manage their individual finances, how can you be shocked that your government- comprised of citizens, can't do any better?

you are right. that's why we need Social Security

I don't think though, that this is the best we can do. people buy into the political bullshit. that being a government person exempts people from bad behavior. we need to expect more from not only government workers but from government leaders or we will just continue down this fucked up path

I just think that unless folk have a better idea, they should shut the fuck up. If you have a better idea, then get it out there. Free speech and all that.
