I think the second choice is the more realistic.

Hmm... I like the overall idea. Her losing the ring and having to 'earn' it back - if that's not an invitation to lots and lots of humiliating sex, then I don't know what it is!

The main problem is how to keep it realistic? I'm a guy but if someone - especially a personal rival or enemy - got hold of my ring, my gut-instinct probably wouldn't be to get on my knees and do whatever he/she/it ordered me to.
