Wife leaves but comes back with

I've been thinking about an old story, here's what I remember. Wife cheats or leaves husband (divorce?), but she comes back. She comes back with the submissive woman (pet) she had to take care of sexually/emotionally. She offers the pet to him to atone for her leaving. Husband takes up with the woman and in a twist the woman ends up dating/marrying their son.
