Wife goes too far and gets in trouble or ruins marriage

Looking for stories where a wife takes things too far (unintentionally) and pays the price. Could be too much flirting, gets herself into drugged sex situation, rumors abound at work with an emotional affair, things like that. She does not intend to cheat but again, husband warns her not to go out or not to take the trip with predator boss/coworker but wife does it anyway. Costs her plenty in the end.
One that comes to mind is where wife goes on "date" with "connie" that turns out to be "Conrad" who rapes her. That type of story.
