Ok, so I don't understand the entire "sugar daddy" thing. I mean if it's sexy toys or lingerie it makes sense, but I just think it's....different. Can anyone explain?

What's not to get?

People exchange things that they have a surplus of for things they desire/need.

In this case, attractive younger, females exhange their time and sexual favors for "gifts" from older males who can afford them.

In both cases (females: youth and good looks - males: economic advantages) they are exchanging diminishing assets so the window of opportunity doesn't stay open forever.
