According to MAXIM female readers, the following reasons are why after what you thought was a great date and a couple of follow up phone calls she has lost interest.

#1 - You wore the wrong shoes/socks/watch/etc
#2 - You were too honest (telling about breakups, your bad temper, etc)
#3 - You failed to put on any moves
#4 - You were completely self absorbed
#5 - She sobered up
#6 - A jealous friend gave you the thunbs down
#7 - You have been scooped by another guy

Ladies, any to add or any comments?

I don't know about any of the others but #7 has happend to me a couple of times.

I guess that is the danger of playing on both sides of the fence.

Oh come on ladies, I am sure you can shed some light on this topic?

Definitely don't want to hear all about your ex on a date... makes us think you'd rather be with her anyway.

We would never have sex with you.. so why bother?

You were stupid.

:)

Hmmmmmmm,

Well, I'm not a very good judge on this topic because I've never blown anyone off until they've treated me like a piece of shit. I guess you could say I've got a pretty good tolerence level. But there is only so much shit you can take...lol And when I've had enough, I'm outta there!

#1 too superficial...if this is the type of woman you go for than get better socks.
#2 women don't want honestly on the first date...they want flattery (and dessert!)
#3 no good night kiss? He must not like me....
#4 did you notice she left the table with a nose bleed?
#5 was she drunk when you picked her up? Perhaps you should find someone else to date...
#6 most friendships out last most dates...
#7 if he got #1-6 right...of course we'd dump you for the more likely catch...

I'll admit to blowing guys off for all of the above reasons at one time or another. At the risk of seeming shallow, the shoe thing is the quickest turn-off. When a date shows up dressed nicely, but with white athletic shoes -- ewww! Instant turn-off!

He has no life

The biggest turnoff for me is a guy that has no real interests, no passions. When the entire conversation has dealt with his work, every sitcom for the past 5 yrs, and family problems, it will probably be the last date.

I need a guy with intelligence and who does not come off like he is waiting for some girl to make his life worthwhile. I have no desire to be responsible for someone else's happiness, nor to be smothered. I want a partner, not a dependent. I have a life. I would like to find someone to share it with and who will add to it. I would like to share theirs - not be theirs.

What fabulous insight! I hope all you ladies with doubts can learn from this thoughtful person. LadyDarcy...you most certainly have it together in this area!
