Are there any guidelines for posting in one or the other areas ?
Why is there a BDSM Talk section and a BDSM Cafe section ?

From the stickies at the top of the two forums:
"In the Talk forum, our focus is on discussion of BDSM and it's associated sexuality and/or lifestyle choices in real life relationships, but also welcomes discussion of online experiences, and BDSM related fantasy."
"Welcome to the BDSM Cafe, a subforum of BDSM Talk, and a place where we can enjoy a latte, espresso or good Bordeaux and have conversation about pretty much anything. Posting of pictures, jokes and other fun stuff is allowed but please refrain from copyright violations."
Talk=serious BDSM discussion. Cafe=everything else. My rule of thumb is "When in doubt, put it in the cafe."

That's a really good rule of thumb - people get so cranky if you put a non-bdsm related subject in the forum. Mostly cause their are people who dont' have time for fluff - poor souls - and this way they don't have to deal with it at all.

No they don't. When you're drying them, their's a huge worm hole that appears in your dryer. Then your socks dissapear and reappear in other people's dryers. And you get some of their socks.

Ohhh I -know- what Heck is , it's a place submissives go and are held as human erotic pretzels of unrequieted f**klust for all eternity. Sometimes just a week or two.
