Why is Mozilla so mean to me?

I had to use Mozilla today because IE is blowing chunks. Everytime I get a PM, i click "OK" twice just like with IE so that the PM opens in a new window, which leaves me able to go back to what I was doing before the PM came, in the first window.
Mozilla doesn't allow this! Why? Is there anything I can do cause this is bugging me like a mosquito trying to suck my flesh.

Thank you.

By default, Mozilla has popup blocking enabled. You need to add Lit to the list of sites that it's ok to have popups come from.

Go to Edit, Preferences, then expand the Privacy and Security list, go to the Popup Windows section, and tweak this to your heart's content.

I think I had to add www.literotica.com and www.literotica.com:81 to my list to make it work all the time.

Hope this helps!

Im not sure..but do you want me to come kick Mozilla's ass?

I've seen enough of those Japanese movies to know how to kill his cousin, so it should be easy.

Please take pitty on me...I'm just not myself today ;)

But see, it's not blocking Lit, I'm here when I get the PM. Right now I have both Mozilla IE open, lol. I left Mozilla open because I have unfinished work in it, but couldn't get an address typed into the bar without losing that mozilla page, so I just tried opening IE and it worked.

But I still am very unhappy with mozilla. It even makes my scroll and my mouse move like cold honey. Too weird.

Thanks though!

Ok, I think you're misunderstanding me.

Mozilla blocks popup windows by default. Popups are extra windows that launch from some sites. Mozilla thinks that the PM window is a popup because it is being launched in a new window from some ********** code (if you don't understand what that means, well, there's some behind-the-scenes stuff that goes on that causes the little box to come up that tells you that you have a PM waiting and calls up a new window to read it in.) This looks to Mozilla like those nasty ad banners that come up on a lot of sites, so it doesn't let the new window open. If you add Lit to that list of sites that you will accept popups from it will all work.

It's not blocking Lit, it's blocking popups from Lit.

I hope I was more clear this time.

You may want to try Opera (opera.com). Much better than IE or netscape, I haven't compared it to mozilla so I can't tell you on that one. It has a lot of other great features, like the absolute best way of bookmarking places.

Yes, I became an Opera fan last night. I was so overcome by excitement that my aging laptop could actually match the browsing speed of the desktop that I posted a thank you thread in this forum. Dstorage, if you're one of the people who recommended it previously, here you go: Thank You!
