What have you tried doing to find someone in NYC? I've never been to NYC, but I have heard that they have internet cafe's where you can go in and login to a local chat room and meet people online who are in the same room without really knowing who is who.

Kind of gives you that whole "Learn the person before apperances take over" type deal.

My situation, which is perhaps a little different... I am on the site purely for the fantasy, the lively posts and the interesting people. It's fun. I like it. I didn't come here looking for anything more than that.

But then, you find that it goes a little further, when you come across someone who is in a similar situation to you. Someone you get on with really well, and then maybe you do want to take it a little bit further..

That's where living in Australia can be a problem, because, chances are, the other person is going to be on the other side of the planet. Personally, I wish really wish she did live in the next suburb, the next city or even the next state.

It is just sheer wait of numbers I suppose. To be expected.. But it is a downside to living on the other side of the planet.
