A pictorial of a fishing trip gone wrong....

It was a peace day in the northwest....

and his son (ME) fishing and enjoying the weather.....

a Seal, frolicking in the water nearby shows the first sign of a bad chance for salmon.....and trouble as he dives below the surface....

...when suddenly right behind the boat surfaces a Free Willy's big demonized brother!

The massive beast dives for the helpless seal as it desperately tries to get away!

The seal shoots out of the water and dives again, twisting and turning, swimming for his life. Having evaded the killer orca the seal relaxes....tragically....he did not see the 50 or so friends this monster brought with him to the feast.

the killing is brutal and not quick, edited for small children is the scene that unfolds around these gruesome photographs. The seal is tossed back and forth amongest the orca pod as onlookers watch the murder.

finally, the deed is done, the seal is consumed by the pact of blood thirst monsters from the deep. The massive killing machines now turn to playing and strutting around to boast of their killing power.

This reporter was shocked and amazed at the audacity of their attitude after watching some a disgusting display of feeding.

even the onlookers and witnesses are shocked into silence....

...all except for this man, this catcher of fish, this so called fisherman, who eats the flesh of his catch.

You freak people didn't come here to see that rod and much less a baby seal getting killed

Big Brother you have officially lost your mind

Poor lil seal

What a bedtime story

*hugs*

I love living here, things like this almost never happen. At least, not in the numbers they did today. We had to estimate how many different orca pods were there, somewhere between 3 and 5. We checked with the local marine biology dept. and they stated that it is extremely rare in the sound for this many orcas to be in one place and playing together.

We counted and it is a guess only, at least 50 orcas in this one area. It was trully a sight to behold.

So beautiful. I'm glad you shared. Even happier, you had such a wonderful time.
I wish I could have been there. Sigh...

Heh heh, it wasn't a work shirt, it was more of a thick jean type shirt. And thank you for the compliment, I may have to start believing Summer more when she says I look good in a suit. :D

And baby, I would have enjoyed it 100 times more if you had been there.

great pics

at least they didn't club the poor little fella and drag him off with a hook. i think i would be nervous with that many whales around me while i was in a little boat.

WAY TO COOL NADED!!!!! not many people can say theyv'e seen that stuff for real!!!
I'm not big on the killing thing but it's not offten people get to witness nature such as this....... and thats really just what it is. Nature acting normal.
