Why have Republicans stopped bragging about the stock market?

Meanwhile, the coronavirus, which could care less about propping up the markets until election time, says, "Pay me now or pay me 10 times the amount by delaying until later." With weak federal action on controlling the rate of infection, it is possible that we will be doing the latter if it turns out that this virus is not seasonally dependent.

I hop[e your tiny little hog-nosed coon head.....doesn't explode.
It's apparent, it's overloaded with bullshit.

What we need is a whopping great tax cut to juice the economy...oh, wait, I forgot, Trump is still in his refractory period from the last time.

Oil prices bigly fall. The stock market is headed for a major bloodbath this morning.

Futures pointing to a 1300 drop at opening. Circuit breakers likely today.

Five percent overall drop.
Circuit breakers popped.
All trading halted for 15 minutes.

Timmeh and Trysail will be along shortly to lecture us that prosperity is just around the corner!

Looks like President Trump's close personal friends the Saudis have triggered this particular market rout, dicking around with oil production.

Trading resumed, but still down around 1450. May not be last circuit pop of the day.

Oil plummeted to $31.50 a barrel. The Saudis are hellbent on bankrupting the Russians, just like they did when the American infrastructure (built to be profitable at $75 a barrel). Get ready for $1.50 a gallon gas.

This Saudi/Russian tift is getting brutal

DOW ends down over 2,000 points, almost completely erasing the bull market Deplorables have been bragging about nearly non-stop since 2017

Dow logs biggest point-drop in history as stocks tumble

From CNN Business' Anneken Tappe

It was a turbulent day in the US stock market, which experienced a massive selloff amid coronavirus fears and a sharp drop in oil prices.

The Dow recorded a new worst point drop on record, overtaking the massive loss from February 27. The index closed down 2,014 points, or 7.8%. It was its worst day since October 2008.

Stock futures trading was halted following steep losses in the overnight session, which carried into regular trade: Shortly after market open the S&P 500 dropped 7% and triggered a circuit breaker, forcing the New York Stock Exchange to suspend trading for 15 minutes.

Stocks continued the day in the red.

The S&P 500 finished 7.6% down, marking its worst day since December 2008.
