Now do it expressed as a percentage of the market overall.
Sorry. Would such mathematical analysis be too taxing?
Blockchain, anyone?

So, how is everyone's 401K doing? Well, no worries, the Fed is likely to print more money and incur more "debt".
If your plane loses sufficient airspeed to maintain flight, you can always aim the nose down toward the ground to regain speed, just like we did in 2008. Why, the impeached President was on TV just yesterday, instilling us with confidence as he bad-mouthed the Fed. He's a stable genius who knows how to game the bankruptcy laws, so this will work out great for America. Right? Tax cuts, right? More corporate socialism, er, I mean bailouts, right?
And how many times can we aim the plane toward the ground? I don't know, but out here in the boondocks, the roosters are crowing and another day of work outdoors awaits.
Like the great General Russel L Honore once said:
"DON'T GET STUCK ON STUPID"
People around here are not so stupid to think that the stock market equals the economy and that you can have infinite growth on a finite planet.
Fortunately, I can't say I feel stupid about my investments right now. The value of the food and energy that my neighbors and I produce might have even increased during the last week.
There is an upside to investing in real goods and in local economic development. Less transportation cost, less dependency on the house of cards, more freedom, more exercise, more social interaction, more fun. We had quite a campfire gathering last night.
People around here are not so stupid to think that the stock market equals the economy and that you can have infinite growth on a finite planet.
Yet somehow I get the the impression that you believe the Stock Market somehow IS the economy and it's all Trump's fault that it had a major correction this past week.
No. Trumplitards believe that when the DOW increases, that somehow that correlates to their Wal-Mart pay increases.
Dam dudly, you should let all those Wall Street billionaires know they're doing it all wrong.
What? This has nothing to do with what I posted. Did you mean to quote someone else? Too many mamosas this morning?
If "the economy" isn't the stock market. AND, if those supposed WalMart wages aren't affected by the stock market, then all those companies which are publicly held, you know JUST LIKE WALMART, aren't dependent on the stock market for capital. Capital which they use to pay those supposed wages you mentioned.
So, if the market does well, the companies do well. When companies do well they tend to HIRE PEOPLE AND PAY THEM. Conversely, when the market doesn't do well, companies tend to lay off workers.
And somehow I get the impression that you're GLAD the market dipped this past week because you can blame Trump for it.

You Deplorables still have no clue about anything that extends beyond your simple-minded economic/political categories and talking points.
Get outside, and go do something.
