Why have Republicans stopped bragging about the stock market?

Nothing. The Dow is still up almost 23% over the Obama administration's high of 19,827 on inauguration day 2017.

Proud of that, are you?

So proud that you can't admit that Obama's stock market performance STILL has a percentage higher rate of increase than Trump's?

It's only money.
Money can't buy you love.
But you can rent it.

Trump has aggressively branded his presidency as responsible for the booming market, placing his administration in a difficult political position if the correction turns into something more pervasive and long term.

The stock market has given up 11% of it's entire gain during the Trump administration in the past two days. That's a bit of a cause for concern, I'd say. I think we'll see the old axiom "Success has 1000 fathers, failure is an orphan" come into play.

Having said that, it's pretty clear to me that the markets are reacting primarily to actions of the Fed, not anything Trump has or hasn't done.

Trump Considering Firing Dow Jones Industrial Average

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—After watching it suffer its worst losses since he became President, Donald Trump is “seriously considering” firing the Dow Jones industrial Average, aides have confirmed.

According to the aides, Trump is “furious” at the D.J.I.A. for going down so precipitously and believes that it has treated him “very unfairly.”

“Increasingly, the President has become convinced that the Dow Jones Industrial Average is not on his team,” one aide said. “Seeing the negative Dow numbers in the corner of the TV screen has been wrecking eleven hours of every day for him.”

Reportedly, Trump is mulling replacing the Dow with a new system, in which Sarah Huckabee Sanders would appear every day at 4 p.m. to announce how high stocks had skyrocketed.

Let's not lose the fact that 45 is in Mar-a-Lago today.

Ken, your balding tubby ass could never catch me.

Thanks, but it must be fake. There is no sun; like global warming and Tromp's paltry inauguration crowd photos, that's Chinese propaganda. Damn Ch!nks!

That's the problem with Trump ,it's difficult to distinguish between the fake and the real .

Reminds me of a scene in Becker at Reggies' diner. Bob is sitting at the counter looking at a nudie book pointing out real and fake boobs. Reggie finds it difficult to believe he can tell just by looking at the pictures. He starts calling them out .... real ... fake ... fake ... real ... real ... real fake!

That's 'Rump ... real fake.
