Why does my Awaiting Approval story show 26 views?

First time submitter - checked the FAQs I could find and didn't see the answer to this. I submitted the story yesterday, and know it may be a few more days before it's approved, but how did it get 26 views? I haven't clicked through to it but a couple of times.

There is a fault on the bots.

Many stories get numerous views before approval. Ignore them.

But DON'T click on the Pending - otherwise your story goes back to the end of the queue every time you do.
