Why is it that 12 hours after submitting my FIRST story ever it’s not already up for the readers on here to read it? Should I even post my stuff here is it even worth it? I feel like I’m not worthy to even be here as a writer.

sooo...there are FAQ's for the site. I would suggest maybe reading through them.

this is the publishing section is here https://www.literotica.com/faq/publishing

and this is the one you might want to especially read
https://www.literotica.com/faq/publishing/publishing-time

A story or poem submitted to Literotica (meeting all of our publishing criteria) will generally go live within two to four days.
So you maybe want to have a bit of patience since its only been 12 hours.
Well I only briefly read the bulk of them related to story structure content etc. I didn’t see the rules about time it takes. It doesn’t matter anyway I’ve been rejected three times obviously my work isnt cut out for this site or they’re being snobbish and overly picky.

12 HOURS?

If it isn't published in 12 DAYS, get back to us.

A week is fairly normal. Two weeks is not uncommon.
Ok good to know it took about two weeks after my first submission but then it got rejected and rejected and I’ve been rejected three times now. Kinda starting to get frustrated and losing hope.

I once had a story publish in about 48 hours. I once had one take about 8 days. Mostly I average 3 or 4 days, so I'd urge some patience.

I also had my first story rejected three or four times.

I just kept rereading the guidelines, tweaking what I thought might be the problem, and listening to the advice given to me by those who volunteered to edit/read for me, and resubmitting, and eventually I got the hang of it.

My second story was rejected too, but only once.

Keep writing and trying, and you'll get the hang of it. Don't let yourself get too frustrated, it's a process, and one you'll get better at in time!

What are the reasons for rejection? You should have received a rejection notice, usually as a set of questions. Address those questions, revised your text as required, and resubmit.

Slow down, stop being dramatic (no, they're not being snobbish and overly picky, the story is being rejected for a reason). Tell us the reasons, and someone should be able to help you sort it out.

Ask questions, and find answers. Hundreds of writers get rejections, and hundreds of writers get their stories published. See the pattern? :)

Saying my paragraphs are too stinking long. Which I think is complete crap and that they’re just being snobbish, picky and rude. Rude to the readers assuming they won’t be able to understand it. Which as a reader myself I find insulting

The long paragraph issue is to make this site mobile friendly and accessible. If that's the only issue, break it up into smaller paragraphs and you should get it through.

Please keep in mind that readability in a book, and readability on a computer screen, are two very different things. That's not an insult to you or your readers, that's just a physiological fact.

It's commonly agreed that an optimal paragraph can be around five sentences long, before it turns into a "wall of text" that could dissuade visitors from reading your story.

Then again, it's also commonly agreed upon that the lines of the paragraphs shouldn't be longer than 80 Characters, with a good sized font and ~150% line-height... which are all things that didn't find their way into lit's redesign.

Still though it seems like they’re deliberately being nit-picky if I separate any more sentences and paragraphs it'll be one sentence per paragraph per line and that’s no bloody good.
