Why does everyone tell me I have to see Windtalkers?

Not either

I'm not either....I'm a large part Cherokee....and I saw it...*shrug* it was ok..and Funny in an ironic sort of way....

John Woo has already made the best war picture ever and it's called "A Bullet in the Head". It's a chinese take on the Vietnam war and came out around 1990. It took me a while to find it because they don't push it like they do "The Killer" and "Hard Boiled" or his more recent Hollywood pictures.

I was excited to see Windtalkers until I finally found and rented Bullet in the Head a couple of weeks ago. The violence and carnage are at a level that would never be allowed in american theatres and the story is just emotionally wrenching.

As far as Windtalkers is concerned, I really don't feel like sitting through another film that is supposedly about a group of minorities but seen through the eyes of some white guy. I can't help but feeling like John Woo is just recycling himself and pandering to American audiences. Since he's been working here, he hasn't made one movie as good as his Asian films. Hopefully, he's just biding his time.

I say rent "Bullet in the Head" if you can find it.

John Woo has declared no more action pics. His love - Westerns!

Whoopie kai yai...

Hey Dixon, I see you have nothing constructive to add. Just destruction negativity, the same old schtick...

I'll ask again. How's the slander suit going or are you too busy trying to get a teaching job? I hear there's an opening in the Piper School district since the School Board has decided against morality and ethics. You'd fit right in. Maybe find yourself another Patti. You see, I feel all good stories are usually autobiographical, and you are always telling us how good your stories are, how clever you are, how superior, why you even use the Imperial "We" when you talk about Lit as if you were an investor in ******* Media, Inc...

Let's try [NotMoon]Lane Media, Inc...

where is that ububububu translator again.

I don't think the main indian guy in the pic is navho either, so why not go? I mean I am not going to see it either, but not being a navaho doesn't necessarily exclude you.

No it's just that people get to talking about the movie, then see me out of the corner of thier eye, and say, with your background...

Like I would, or would not enjoy a good movie because some Indians were featured in it.
