I was reading a story in the How To category recently, and the author's viewpoint was that men have sex to Feel loved, and women have sex Because they feel loved.

I'm curious as to what y'all think. In a relationship, aside from the physical gratification, I think both men and women have sex to Express love. I don't know if men have sex to Feel loved, but I definitely think women do.

Outside a relationship, all bets are off.

Thoughts? Opinions? Should I have made a poll?

I'd like to say that I only have sex because I get horny and want to get rid of the itch, but there have been times when I've done it to be loved.:(

I have sex to get off.

I express (and need the expression of) love in many other ways.

I have sex b/c I like it. I waited to do it until I was in love, but I express my love in wholy unphysical ways. I just like to share my ecstacy (not the drug) with my loved one.

I've often heard men compartmentalize sex and love, so they don't necessarily have anything to do with each other. Do men have sex to feel loved? Do they feel loved when they have sex?

Ladies, do you feel loved when you have sex? Would you have sex if you didn't feel loved?

Sex for me has always been for the fun and joy of it. It's not just the feeling, it's the sight. Fucking is awesome.

I like expressing my love in ways other than sex with great emotion. My love is not questioned or placed in doubt, because of sex.

That's just me, because I think making love is a crock. How can you make love?

Fucking is thrilling and exciting, and yes...repeating myself, it's fun.

Men have sex to Feel loved.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Same thing for me when I masturbate.
COOOTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol

I am done having sex, I have all my children and I am fixed.

Sex and all physical intimacy is to me the embodied representation of an emotional bond. It's niether a willful expression of love nor a quest for gratification of it. I can't separate it like that, as a means to an end that has to do with that bond.

This bond does not have to be romantic love, which is a very special cookie. I've had sex just as emotionally intense without that. A little attraction and mutual understanding and respect can go the same way. It's a fun pastime with the right person. But the right person has to sync with your own attitude, or else it's not fun. That's all.

If I had sex just to get off, I'd have it with myself.

Oh wait. I do.

I often wonder why I have sex. This question usually occurs just before orgasm, which is mighty frustrating.

I've had great sex with women I did not love (and made no pretext about it).

I've had lousy sex with women that I did love (and was certainly one reason why the relationship did not last)

I'm having great sex with the woman I love (but it's not the only reason we've been married 20 years).

Sex on its own doesn't need to be for or about love. You're doing it cuz it feels good. And sex alone won't make you feel loved.

However, when you've got the right combination, it is awesome.

I gotta' have a reason??? Nobody every told me I hadda' have a reason before. Whycome?

Depends on the situation. But recieving attention is always part of the experience.

Honestly, what does it matter?

The important thingis I enjoy it, and they don't exactly run away from it...

...and I have it on good authority that they only pretend to be stuck in that fence just to lure me in. Look at them, do you really think they look innocent?

Innocent?

Not many, but for some reason the increased circulation has often helped to jog my memory. That's why I sometimes say "Ed Begley", or "Donald Campbell, in the Bluebird, July 1964" at the moment of orgasm.

The best sex I ever had involved leather cuffs, some clothesline, and a whip.

Is that love?
