I come here because it's a place to find like minded individuals, where I can occassional find someone sincerely looking for information, who wants to get out from behind the comptuer screen and carry this into their real lives. I can encourage these fledgling sadists, masochists, Tops, bottoms, Dominants, submissives, Owner, slaves... I can help direct them to groups in their areas, to find resources to help in their journey.

It's payback, the only way I can, to those who helped me when I first found BDSM.

I originally came here to learn and explore. I had questions and thought this would be a good place to ask them. This was a great jumping off point for me before I was ready to explore in real life.

Sometimes its a good place to think outloud, which I like to do.

Now, I tend to lean more toward this angle. Although, I also enjoy being able to impart my experiences on others asking the same kinds of questions I had when I was first exploring. I like to believe that I now have experience to offer others in a helpful way. I also think best about my own experiences when I'm able to share them with others and get feedback on my thoughts.
