It's an assumption based on years of evidence. I could count on one finger the number of times I've seen debates on this board actually be reasoned, with each party really engaging with what the other party is saying, looking at the evidence they present, and responding with actual support for their own arguments. I have spent significant time checking on the things I'm saying, and linking to the supporting material, only to have people say things like "Statistics, none of which mean a whole lot.", quite literally say 'I'm not going to read that', or completely ignore it and just shift to the next random talking point in their messy, incoherent, unsupported argument which mostly seems to consist of screaming 'socialist' or 'liberal' or 'PC' or whatever reactionary rubbish they are latching onto. This thread is a case in point - instead of actually engaging with any of the points I've made, the most vocal contributor just dismisses them by making some 'glass houses' argument that is (a) irrelevant in the context; (b) ironic, in that he's denying racism in the US, while at same time saying I can't comment on racism in the US because of the racism in NZ; and (c) means he can handily avoid actually addressing anything I've said.

This is pretty much the level of debate on the GB. No one on here (and I'd include a fair chunk of those on either side of the fence) really wants to actually talk about anything - they just want to use whatever the current event of the day is to sling shit at each other.

I actually worked in mental health and have dealt with many in the homeless community. While watching the riots and protests I recognized a few of the people I had treated. Your take on the homeless component of the looting is accurate but incomplete. There is a mental health component that needs to be addressed as well.

The people who are out looting with neither issue are pure scum.

Looking at these mobs of mostly young and heavily non-white "protestors" marching and rioting in our streets I have to wonder where they get this hate for white people. It seems the farther we get from the civil rights era, the more not less many non-whites hate whites. I used to ask this question when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s. Here we are a generation and a half later and kids not even born then are as full of hate and resentment toward their fellow white neighbors then ever.

The fact they are willing to believe the media narrative that the Floyd incident was racially motivated despite zero evidence it had anything to do with race, as well as believe that somehow they are getting screwed by a society that bends over backwards to give them every advantage it can, and have so much rage toward society they literally take to the streets and try to destroy it, is puzzling.

My personal feeling is that anti-white racism is similar to anti-Semitism of the past. It shares many of the same hallmarks as traditional anti-Semitism. I fully suspect as time goes on, the hate to advance to pogroms or worse toward whites especially with the way the government encourages the narrative of white "privilege."

Well seeing as the social injustice has never stopped, I would say they can lean on that crutch a little longer.

What should really frighten you is the fact that many white Americans are starting to understand the scam the rich have been running and are recognizing the social injustice in their own lives.

Another thing that should keep you up at night is the fact that interracial relationships are more common these days, and many white Americans see the effect that institutional racism is having on there own families. Similar to the increasing support for the LGBTQ community.

When all the oppressed groups in this country finally recognize that the rich have been stoking hatred and prejudice to keep the masses fighting one another instead of focusing on the real enemy, it's game over.
