45,000 American deaths each year are associated with lack of insurance according to the American Journal of Public Health.

And Johns Hopkins Medical Center researchers lack of healthcare killed 17,000 children over the past twenty years. "If you are a child without insurance, if you're seriously ill and end up in the hospital, you are 60 percent more likely to die than the sick child in the next town who has insurance," said Fizan Abdullah, lead writer of the study and a pediatric surgeon at Hopkins.

So this being the case, how can the Republicans say they "value life" and be against health care reform?

And don't say that Republicans aren't against healthcare reform. They are. And they even admitted openly that their plan only covered 3 million of the 45 million uninsured.
