Why do my story ideas never get responses?

OK. So I have nothing better to do than be here. I've noticed that my ideas get LOTS of looks, but no responses. Are my ideas THAT bad? Or is it that I just don't describe them in better detail? Sorry for the lame thread, but, as I said, I'm BORED!!!!!!!

I've peeked, but I'm not hard up for story ideas. I just feel really creepy taking someone else's story idea. I did it once, thanked the guy for it, he later wrote back and said I'd gotten it all wrong. Of course I did. I took the premise and wrote my own story, I didn't email him, get the details, and then let him give to his wife/boyfriend/dog/girlfriend for some special occasion before posting it. I just took an already worked idea of something someone would like to see and put a different spin on it. Of course, I don't think he actually had a female rapist fantasy.

I get my story ideas all the time from my own overworked imagination.

I have looked at that board but most of the ideas are fairly old hat and if they're new they haven't given me any ooomph! (made me think "Christ I could do something with that).

I've never even considered taking anyone's story suggestion. I know some have, and turned out good stuff, but I can only write what I come up with. (Unless a checky-wecky is involved.)
