why do married guys turn me on?

It's totally normal. If a guy in married, it demonstrates ability to be in a relationship. Plus you know someone has endorsed him.
Besides the whole forbidden fruits angle. As well as less risk that you'd need to commit.

My guess is the lack of commitment to a relationship and the sense of the adventure of sneaking around.

No... not necessarily. I have known many that did not want the commitment. Both understood it in the relationship and they seemed to get along for a while.
 
Married men may exude a quiet sexual confidence. In general, they're older than single guys. They know how to get laid with reasonable regularity. The single men (boys?) may be off-puttingly grasping in their inexperienced horniness.

Lots of exceptions, of course, but I bet this is often part of it.
 
Do you find the married guys spark more romance? maybe something they're missing in their marriage? Maybe its the spark of sexual prowess? Again, something they may be missing in their marriage.
 
I think my reason for being so turned on by married guys has everything to do with being married myself--when I was single, I was never into married people and I still find IRL in-person cheating to be a turn-off, but for online purposes I prefer fellow married people because I feel like there's a built in shared bond there-- a sort of a club if you will of the unhappy-but-staying where the other person gets where you are coming from. Also married men seem more able to understand interruptions and life stresses and limited time, and in my experience are a bit more patient than single guys who often want to get right to the fun bits.

That describes my situation and feelings very well. I seem to connect more with the married women on Lit than I do the single ones.
