Why do I feel dizzy after having an orgasm?

MY eyes get closed and I feel dizzy for 2-3 seconds. After that, back to normal. Why is that?

Could be you have high blood pressure, or are squishing your eyeballs a little by clenching your eyelids hard.

Dizzy? Is that all? Jeeze, most of the time I can't even stand after an orgasm. My wife has practically passed out before. She was breathing but I wasn't getting any response from her, pat her cheeks and she starts mumbling a few incoherent words here and there. When she became responsive she said that she could hear me but couldn't speak.

The only time I've ever had that happen with me was when I had high blood pressure.

You could always try one of those bp machines they have at Walmart to see what yours is in relation to average.

another reason could be if you're hyperventilating or holding your breath, as both deprive your brain of oxygen.

How old are you?
Do you exercise regularly?
Do you experience dizzyness after any other type of activity?

I sometimes can't see straight afterwards, I did ask my doctor and was told it was probably due to hyperventilation which is not uncommon. I have had my heart check and its fine.

I used to pass out when I was younger, it turned out to be low blood pressure. Now my bp is normal. I also used to pass out if I stood up too quickly, when I had my period, gave blood... All a thing of the past now thanks to weight gain and old age ;-)
