Because of the number of cut and paste threads by the usual suspects on the same topic cluttering the GB.
Because they were flamefests regardless of topic. Same people, same fight different thread, different alts.
Because when it was put to a vote, I suspect a lot of people wanted to call the bluff of the "I'll leave!" group. Or maybe they hoped those people really would leave.
