ok, i'm gonna keep bumping this until somebody gives me an answer...doesn't have to be the right answer just some answer. the right one would be good though. i know how to get one off of a webb site but i can't get one out of a file in computer.

Because it has to be hosted online somewhere.

Then you can embed it into your post by linking the URL.

The file attachment function is configured to show a link instead of displaying the image because the image database got too big and searching it everytime a thread was opened was slowing down Lit.

You can attach a picture from your harddrive if it's smaller than 800 x 600 pixels and 102400 bytes (100Kb) but it will NOT display automatically -- people have to explicitly open it.

I will assume you've never coded html, otherwise you would know how to do this easily. As weird harold said, you can post an image up to a certain size, and have it as a link( an underlined word you click on to get the image to pop up in another window). The only other way is to link to an image using the img function which is similar to embeding a photo in a web page. The only stippulation is however, to do so you must host the image on website or page. The easiest way to do this if you are a member of yahoo, is to open a photo album under the my picture section, and upload your images. once you have done so, click on the image and open up the photo. Click the URL or the address of the image and command C, or copy the address. When you are back posting in literotica, then use the img button in the VB code section just below the message icons. Click the IMG button, and press command V, to paste the address of the image (thereby embeding it) into your post. Scroll down to preview prior to submission to make sure the link is working correctly. If it all goes right, you should see a photo or image in your post.

Easy? well sorta....but I have utmost faith in you
