I was in Philly this weekend for a wedding. I traveled with three buddies of mine and while we tooled around the city we noticed that all the women became exceptionally friendly when they found out we were from out of town.
Yeah, they teased us about our "Chicago" accents and our inability to manuver through those crazy colonial streets, but on the whole it was a very warm reception. We had women we'd just met calling our hotel room asking when we were coming out. Waitresses gave us free food. I've got a pocket full of phone #'s of girls I'll probably never call.
And it's like that whenever I travel. East coast, west coast, down south, out of the country; women like foriegners. This is worth an experiment. I think I'll adopt a bogus accent and see how many women around my home town give me a different vibe (not to say that Chicago women aren't nice, of course. )
