Adjusted for inflation the debt from WW2 was roughly equal to our current debt and it was nearly paid off (and would have been had Reagan not changed the Tax Code) my Grandparents, your parents, paid their debt off before dying. Sure you helped but they didn't leave SHIT for me. There is no reason you should be leaving your grandchildren or my children with debt and the only reason we are going to is because you refuse to pay it down. It's a plain and simple fact.
