The media, the Democrats, many Republicans, in fact, the entire structure of society today, likes to lump disparate groups together as "victims" who "naturally" oppose other groups who "oppress" them. You know the "groups" I mean.
Yet, what do these alleged "victimized groups" have in common? Why are homosexuals lumped in with blacks, or handicapped lumped in with Asian-Americans, or white women considered the same as Honduran-American illegal aliens, on and on. It doesn't make rational sense for such disparate groups to be lumped together.
Everyone just accepts this coalition of "victims" to be natural and eternal political allies. Itsn't at best belittling to people from these population groups to be told they are the "same" as others they have next to nothing in common with? I would suggest its patronizing and even offensive.
