...because of 71 million dopey people like this person.

She told authorities she was allowed to be in the building because she previously confirmed online that the Capitol would be open. Yep, nice time to visit the Capital....during an all out riot but she apparently didn't see it that way....just another day in the neighbor, another day with my neighbors....

....would you be mine, could you be mine?

"I cannot believe the hypocrisy on the left from this. The only bad thing Trump supporters did, which I will call out, was break windows," she told an Instagram user later that night, according to court documents. "Cops LET THEM PAST the barriers. And the citizens of America are ALLOWED TO BE IN THE CAPITOL BUILDING WHEN ANYTHING IS IN SESSION."

Because (D)'s are still doing all they can to destroy our economy and keep it's citizenry from being productive. :D

None of the folks I'm talking about in the 71 million are Dems... including this one misguided individual who just happened to take stroll through the Capital during a riot.

No, that's why the U.S. is dysfunctional politically. Why it is noncompetitive economically is a different question.

The GDP of the United States is proof of its productivity. Not who or what walked into the US Capitol on Jan.6. The OP is mentally retarded.

GDP is a result of brainpower and productivity among a few other things....we are lacking in brainpower as put forth by the OP.

I do think I'm overstating the obvious.

Any country will have a lot of stupid people in it. Economically it doesn't matter, so long are there are enough smart people using their brains in wealth-producing ways.

Right...this is what I'm getting at....do we have an overabundance of the dull tools in the shed?

Our so-called brain power is circling the porcelain bowl because the socialist elites have hijack our education system and set us back 30 years.

There is only one measure by which our education system is not better than it was 30 years ago, and that is cost, and even that applies to higher education only.

The writing was on the wall for western industry in 1976 when Mao tse tung died and China gradually adopted many aspects of western style capitalism. The west could never compete with China's huge man power population and low pay.

Stupid statement. The measure is productivity and the wealth it produces, not brainpower per se. Of course one has to have brain to be human or to produce anything.

The irony, states who voted for Dump sap up the economy the most, depend the most on big government I don't know what that creature is talking about, let him dribble on about the Ds.

What the US has tried to do so far is to get profits repatriated so that they can be taxed in the USA. Foreign jurisdictions say 'stuff that' we are going to tax profits earned in our country through VAT(Value added) or turnover taxes. The US federal government however, is constitutionally constrained in the type of taxation it can raise to an extent that no foreign government is. Biden will get the 15% but it will not stop the foreigners gradually applying more and more sales or turnover related taxes to the big companies.

This is not a one off decision but the result of an International movement away from income/profits taxes to value added/turnover taxes. The chances of getting a fundamental change in the tax mix in the USA is less than zero. The constitutional impediments are too great.

Totally irrelevant as to why the US is falling behind economically. :)

Sure it is....and we have had this discussion before.

It used to be the case, when jobs were scarce people got up and migrated to areas of better jobs and better opportunity.

It seems like we have a whole group of dumb asses in parts of the middle of the country, rust belt areas that seem to think jobs are going to be brought to them.

It doesn't and will never work that way.

In the area that I live, if you can't make a living here your an absolute moron....people are wanted for work everywhere. Good paying jobs above $45/ hour. If half the country is sitting around waiting for meager jobs that pay $15 /hour as the best pay rate...we are fucked as a Country.

It takes every one of us to compete with countries that dwarf our population by 3 to 4 fold lie China and like India.
