New York magazine capacity limit also includes Police handguns. Now they have to amend the law. Fucking buffoons.

Excerpt:
NEW YORK (WABC) -- A troubling oversight has been found within New York State's sweeping new gun laws.

The ban on having high-capacity magazines, as it's written, would also include law enforcement officers.

Magazines with more than seven rounds will be illegal under the new law when that part takes effect in March.

As the statute is currently written, it does not exempt law enforcement officers.
Nearly every law enforcement agency in the state carries hand guns that have a 15 round capacity

I thought that reloading was a quick and simple process and that ten 7 round clips were just as deadly as two 30 round clips. Did that change?

The the new law was never meant to be applied to law enforcement. Yet another example of Politicians forgetting to ask the simple questions before jumping on the bandwagon.

According to what I keep hearing it shouldn't matter one bit if it is applied to law enforcement since smaller clip sizes don't make a gun less effective. Stick to the narrative or don't play.

Why does it matter if the law gets amended? Lots of legislation ends up being tweaked, sometimes dozens of times.

I see yet another booming cross border opportunity for profit and increasing violence to guard that profit...

All they got from Paulie was protection from other guys looking to rip them off. That's what it's all about. That's what the FBI can never understand - that what Paulie and the organization offer is protection for the kinds of guys who can't go to the cops. They're like the police department for wiseguys.

Were I an American Gun Manufacturer, I would not bid on police contracts or supply large capacity magazines to police forces in states where citizens are disallowed such. The police are not the military and have no need for 'weapons of war".

And those after market, Chinese magazines work so well. :)

Big whoop, laws get amended every day due to stupid oversights and unforeseen circumstances.

The law, as written, also affects retired police officers who feel that they should be exempt.. Why a retired police officer should be exempt from the law is a good question since they are, by definition, a civilian and no longer a law enforcement officer.

Next the NRA will push for exemptions for former military since they carried these weapons on active duty....

So the law will be amended and active duty police officers will be exempted, as they should be. Then the NRA will encourage other groups that feel they should be special to push for exemptions.

When we disarm the Niggaz then I'll be ready to consider your angst for retired cops and soldiers.

See my comment below. Don't like it? Complain to the lawmakers in Albany NY and tell them to keep the Police at the 7 round maximum.

It matters because lawmakers, in their infinite wisdom, cannot even craft a law the way they wanted it to be crafted. They did not read the bill.

Of course they read it. They didn't think about some detail of it which happens all the time no matter who writes what. This isn't unique to law makers there is a reason why everything goes through multiple versions. If your problem is someone didn't figure out every single possible application of the law before passing it then congrats.

See, you miss the point. Good for you.

Police are fine with more than seven bullets. It's only retired police that they're looking at going back and adding an exemption to. You fell for another right wing hoax because you're stupid.
