It's a real Liberal conundrum after having adopted Islam as their religion of choice (over evil Christianity):

The all-Muslim city council in Hamtramck, Michigan, has fired two human relations commissioners after they flew the LGBTQ pride flag on public property in violation of a recent law banning such flags.

As Breitbart News reported in June, the all-Muslim city council “voted unanimously on Tuesday to approve a resolution that would ban the LGBTQ+ Pride flag from being flown on the city’s public property.” The report said:

The opposition or support of a religion is not the same as support or opposition to a theocracy. A person is free to choose and practice their religion. They are not free to create governmental laws to enforce religion.

"The City of Hamtramck does not allow any religious, ethnic, racial, political, or sexual orientation group flags to be flown on the City's public properties, and that only, the American flag, the flag of the State of Michigan, the Hamtramck Flag, the Prisoner of War flag on City property."​

That type of policy is very common across the country and is appropriate for government owned properties and facilities.

Islam is a religion that some people practice. If you wish to not be tolerant of someone else's religion, that's up to you. That's not a defense of any religion...that's a defense of freedom of religion.
