I love true crime. Last year I had a spate of reading nothing but British crime, now I've moved over to your lot.

I knew zero about Ted Bundy but found Ann Rule's book bloody fascinating. The trouble is, I think he's ruined me now for other serial killers. Just finished the Zodiac killer which felt a bit flat. I kept thinking, Ted wouldn't have done it like that. :(

So, true crime wise, who fascinates the hell out of you?

before reading your post I would have already said Bundy. Not for his motives, method or signature but because of his sense of self-awareness.

His successful escapes were noteworthy as well.

it would have been interesting to have as a neighbor I'm sure we would have chatted.

My least favorite as Dennis Raider.

Firstly I'm convinced that all city compliance officers probably have serial killer tendencies. I'm quite sure he would make the neighbor from hell. I'm certain he and I would have had loud, angry words.

His hypocritical serving as a church deacon I don't think was just straight cover I think it's part of his pathology. His words at elocution were disgusting.

Always liked Gacy just because he was so totally fucked up. Dahmer was, too but I never got that creepy vibe from him like I do from Gacy.
Bundy was cool but maybe too cool. Probably all the movies they made about him. Sorta makes him almost not real. Although there have been a couple good tv movies about him that are worth checking out. ID channel did a good one just last year.
Henry Lee Lucas would be awesome if anyone knew if he was ever telling the truth about anything. Nuts, prolific and creepy. Great combo but his boasts sound like just that.

Josef Stalin. Could be as many as 25 million people.

Talk about prolific!

Jeffrey Dahmer
Anyone who tries to lobotomise someone and turn them into a sex slave clearly has the right idea. LOL joking of course ;)

Or am I....

I remember watching To Catch A Killer when I was younger with Brian Dennehey (sp?) as Gacy. Fucking chilling. Might read up on that skunk next. Got one on the way about Richard Ramirez. His face alone is terrifying.

Bundy got under my skin. I was the same when I first read about the Moors murderers here. Always remained fascinating to me. I get chills when I drive over Saddleworth Moors.

It was definitely Sir Anthony Hopkins. but I am probably wrong about the movie. on second thought I think it was in Hannibal.

Yes! I remember Mads saying "Bowels in, or bowels out?". I posted that gif here months back.

I'll look that geezer up, Elle.

Cap'n Crunch.

For that stubby swashbuckler always murders the roof of me mouth.
