They still have time to pick a new candidate who’s not poison for down-ballot races. Chris Christie is a possibility to salvage something this November and start rebuilding the party.

They won't. They'll stick with him to the very end.

And unless we want that convicted felon in the white house - because his followers hate democrats so much they will still vote for him - American citizens better get off their asses and vote this November.

Trump raised almost $35 million within hours of the verdict. There are testimonials all over youboob and X about lifelong democrats who have switched their intended votes to Trump.

Why?

Because most American's understand that what happened is a travesty which cannot be supported or condoned. Even CNN's Fareed Zakaria, who is a rabid anti-Trumper, sees the light on this.

So trump is ABOVE the Law. Spin doesn't change Black and White.

He was convicted. A conviction which will be overturned. Which proves that he didn't violate the law.

Which destroys your argument from the outset.

You keep on living in your Future fantasy. It's a good thing trumptards always have tomorrow in their back pocket.

I live in the real world. A real world where truth always defeats lies. A world where the rule of law is consistent even when the outcome in one case causes some to suffer emotional distress.

It is the law which is important. Moreso than your feelings.

He barely squeaked out a victory in 2016. He lost in 2020. Now he’s a convicted felon. He’s toast in 2024. MAGA will still vote for him because they don’t care about the rule of law, but no one else will.

Go read today's news and then come back and say that.

Trump got a 6 point bump overnight and raised over $34 million in cash within hours of the verdict despite the campaign page being overwhelmed from the traffic pouring in. Most of which are new donors to the campaign.

America sees what happened and they are not happy. In the words of one pundit, the left has awakened the sleeping giant.

The purpose of this thread is to discuss who the Republicans will run for President if/when Donald Trump drops out. There are plenty of other threads to argue about his appeal of his felony convictions.

Are you really going with a daily mail poll?

How about this one?

The guy who just got a 6 point bump in the polls and raked in $35 million isn't going to be replaced.

Even thinking this is silly.

You choose the single poll you like because it supports your view. Meanwhile I read the news and assess all of what's happening. That news is not good for your team.
It was the one poll conducted by a legit pollster, not a gossip rag, in the last 24 hours.
