Has anyone had any experience using trillian?

http://www.trillian.cc/

I have ICQ, MSN and yahoo.
I can't have them all running
at the same time since I installed
Windows 98. I was wondering if
using trillian would be better.

Debbie :)

I have it running right now... very useful for my AIM, yahoo and icq contacts... On win 98 too.

it doesnt support things like webcams that yahoo can do :( 'cos to code that would take ages and few people need it

You dont neven eed the other programs installed 'cos it just reads your contact. Its like a 2meg download nad only takes up 7meg installed... Less than ICQ with more funcionallity ... a big Starblayde two thumbs up!

By the way... nice av.... love that girl in the bioshowers in the first episode :p

Thanks Starblayde, for that info. :)

Have downloaded trillian.
But am experiencing some
technical difficulties.
Could it be because hubby
and I have networked computers?

The idea looks brilliant.
Being able to use most
chat messengers at once.

:)

I tried Trillian for a weekend and didn't really like it. Somehow it just wouldn't play nice on my system. So I'm content running one chat program at a time to keep things simple and hassle free :D

Sabbathstorm? What sort of
not play nice on your system
do you mean? :)
I would love to have them all
as one under trillian. Especially since
it is supposed to use less memory.

I had problems trying to get Trillian to work well my ICQ. It wouldn't allow me transfer contacts over and started me with no contact list. I didn't feel like sitting there and importing all the contacts. It did work well for yahoo and msn though.

I have limited memory on my system so Trillian was very appealing. I'm keeping my eyes open for similar programs to test run before I head back to school.

Thanks for that, Sabbathstorm.
I have ICQ, yahoo and msn all running
at the moment but have problems but if hubby
tries to use trillian on our networked computers?
He gets gobbledeegook when he tries to type
a message. Message goes through fine, you just
can't see what you are trying to type. Comes up as
symbols and lines.

Weird but hopefully will get it sorted. :)

Thanks again.
