Hi A/all! Do you use music to set the mood you want or just to have as an atmospheric element or do you like silence so you can hear your lovely bottom moan? What are your preferences? And what kind of music?

I usually prefer silence or some background noise like the ocean.

Master Jose you live close to a friend of mine...how is the bay area these days? We moved South in 2000.

For horizontal bondage I like the Santo Domingo De Silos Monks, and for flogging, The Overture 1812 by Tchaikovsky is 16 minutes of fun. :nana:

WOW what great choices!!! :) da da da da da da da da da da ba boom!

When our Master was out for the signs of blood... and very erotic pain he would play Meatloaf, Bat Out of Hell.

I miss that

Remember the Greenday song, "Time of Your Life"? My bf put it on repeat while I was tied up. He tortured me for a good hour that night. Now when I hear that song, I get wet.

Pavlovian conditioning. Works every time. ;)

We both prefer silence we like our sounds he says he loves the music I make to anyother.

I like music
I burn custom CD's to suit my mood and the intent of the scene
if I had to pick ONE piece to use, it would always be Bethoven's 9th

We have silence unless we are trying to disguise the sounds for the benefit of my son. In the silence every breath, groan, gasp, and suppressed scream can be savoured by Master and I can listen to him breathing, the increased physical effort he is applying, and the swish of the coming whip or whiz of a descending cane. Is pure ecstasy.

mmmmmmmmmmmm that is beautifully described catalina! You are so right, that waaaashuuuck of the crop or flogger is to die for! :) yum.

I love music. I am very passionate about it. Sometimes I blast it, and sometimes the sounds of the night are enough for me. But, during a scene I usually opt for something intense and dark, played low, almost inaudible, but still there. It is not neccessary, but it helps me get into the mood of a scene, makes it easier to slip into my Dommely-head-space. (can I use the word Dommely in a serious post? lol)

W/we love anything with good driving beat to it.... Instrumental music whether it be classical or the new age stuff.... And it also drowns out the sounds of my moaning and the swoosh and smack of the leather (Our kids bedrooms are close to Ours)

:D

Two thoughts on musical applications

1. In one of the film versions of the Story of O there is a wonderful whipping conducted in sync with a piece of classical music. Does anyone know the piece? I've forgotten.

2. While silence and the unmistakable sound of flesh striking flesh -- not to mention leather or a paddle striking flesh -- is often more than enough, the ambient music of Brian Eno (especially music for airports) can invoke a mood and elevate in an elegant way the proceedings.

Wow everyone is posting such nice pleaslant tunes.......I like to rockout to some loud thrashing Nine inch Nails and loud "Happening "tunes"....This will help skitten slip away to her sub space.....
I don't play shit like that all the time but when we play hard it is on..........

:p:cool:

I could really get into playing Marilyn Manson's versions of Tainted Love and Sweet Dreams along with a few other selections of the divine one, but I am afraid if I did someone integral to the scene would leave in disgust. Shame I can't convince him of the beauty of Marilyn.

I have never caught one of his shows, I'm sure it would be intresting to say the very least. I think I might feel old there too.........:)

Deep drum n bass and dub, especially with an Indian flavor. I like Bill Laswell, Talvin Singh and Zakir Hussein's Tala Remix lately.

Joyful pop/punk works for me, Archers of Loaf, Discount, and Sarge, Sleater Kinney.

Less joyful noises like old Sonic Youth, more obscure Stereolab, and the creepy vocals of Cat Power work.

My boy likes the dark and self-conscious, like Marilyn Manson and Trent Reznor and all those guttural industrial noises. I'm not as impressed.

sound of the flogger cracking is great. same goes with the smack of a hand.
however, I am a switch. When I am doing the spanking i like the music on... Gives me rythem. My hands smack with the beat of the music. The girls love it... so does Jason...

We tend to scene to Alternative and Metal. Pearl Jam and Audioslave are two that get worked over pretty well in the line-up. Funny thing....I only hear/remember the first minute or two of the CD. Then I'm gone....caught up in serving Him, the music recedes and His voice is all I hear.

For us, it all depends on the mood we are wanting to set and how many of the neighbors are home. We use music or tv to cover sounds if we plan on being really noisy, but usually do prefer to be able to hear the noises that we make, whether they be the slap of a hand on a bare ass or the little grunts & groans that the boys make as we tease them & they try to squirm away. There are times though, even when we aren't planning on being noisy or we know that the neighbors who are likely to call the police on us are gone that we want music for various purposes ... sensory deprivation so that the boy can't hear what we are doing, or just to set a certain mood.
