Who to invite...who to invite?

Batch is a wonderfully imaginative and intellegent woman. I could never hope to match her intelect. .....BTW - What's this damn IMVU I hear so much about these days? I ain't that bright on some things. ;)

Patience Grasshopper, and you may even find out. You have Batchie vouching for you which is powerful ju-ju in this context, I think. But I believe you might want to be a little nicer to the thread-starter also. Remember how easy it is for misunderstandings to crop up in a text-only context. You came on kind of agressively (the white words, while nice, had the effect of someone who tears one a new asshole then ends the damage with "just kidding--haha!")

If this is an elitist group, by the way, it's one of the goofiest elitist groups I've ever seen. How are we going to gain the respect of the masses if we keep laughing at ourselvies? Er, ourSELVES. (sorry, still a bit sleepy from a bizarre nap.) If you want to be truly elite, you folks need to work on the ego expansion a bit (which you'll be able to do only once you buy some decent threads from the catalog. ;) )

I am still trying to figure out, unfortunately, how to buy something that doesn't make me look fat. :/ Oh how very unlucky I am. (tip o' the binary hat to SeanH)

Actually, I have to download software for this shit. It's too much work.

What Instant Messaging system do you know of that doesn't require a software download?

Oh, but my friend, I do indeed know what I am saying. Please take the time to re-read my first post upon this thread. You are proving exactly what I originally said. You appear so engrossed in your own words, you do not recognize it.

Step outside the box. Look in.

But of course, I am enjoying this.
Good.

There is nothing elite here.
No secrets, no jargon.
Only me sharing what I've found and hoping to draw others in.

My turn to be the spider.

As to my words...
They are my joy and playthings.

If you like not this play, you need not tarry.

Never! Says I. Tis tooo boring.(raises eyebrows up and down)
This seems a good deal of effort for "boring".

Mind you, you could just be easily amused.

I was looking forward to the fisticuffs in group chat.

Is group chat where all the parties are?

Likely.

I think - if i arrange my cards right - tha the first annual "Masque of Oscuridad" may be held in IMVU this October.

Now that would be a fun event to attend! :) If you need helper-skulls to serve drinks, decorate, or clean up, let me know. I happen to know where to find a few who'll work for relatively cheap. ;)

I daresay you do.

Also, If IMVU does NOT have pet skulls...
I'll change my hair to pink for a week.

Oh, but thank you much. Your words do make sense; I shall pay heed to them - for they have a certain credence about them. But, often forgotten in my case, I am a loner in the end. I stand upon my own while others may abandon whatever cause is being brought about. And more often than not; I am still there when they return to the very cause they abandoned....waiting for the moment. On occassion though, when it seems both logical AND beneficial for the majority in the LONG RUN, then I will join the pack. I can follow just as well as I can lead. I fullfill the weak link(s).

I do not seek to be elite; I only want balance. It is so written in my profile.

Pay heed though; fickle I am not.

Sounds nice. But still I ask, 'What is an IMVU'?

It's an Instant Messenger community. It is kind of like Microsoft Messenger or Yahoo messenger except it uses 3d avatars. So it is both bandwith and processer intenstive. People with slow connections or really old PCs might not enjoy it. In addition to chatting with people you can dress your avatar up or buy a new one (and the word "Dress" is an understatement. Everything about your body can change). You can buy fantastic rooms which can be actual static rooms or things like flying carpets, flying over a desert. The avatars can move around a little in the rooms and they make expressions as you talk and say certain keywords. It's much more intimate than regular IM text chat. You also get a myspace style homepage.

Sounds like Gaia for grown-ups.

O dearest,

I'll have to pass. I dislike IMs intensely, even the fancy ones.

Yours,

(pretend that was an email, ok?)
