What do you usually give into?

Do you toss your choices back and forth?

Which part of you ultimately makes the decision?

Cassidy

interesting question.
I would have to say a blend would be the best way to describe how i react to a given situation. sometimes the rational portion prevails and others the physical side to gives in.

i guess it would depend on the circumstance

Yin and Yang would be the easiest way to describe this situation

Sometimes reading your threads has my brain responding from a lower part of my body . :)

I will toss things back and forth over and over, no decision has ever been made in one min for me

and in most cases if not all the time the reasonable side of me wins
what would be best of the whole situation?

My mind, but my mind, being an abstract perception and activity of my brain, is part of my body; it is inextricably meshed with my body. Plus, there are different parts of my "mind" - the concious, the subconsious, the modern mammalian reasoning mind, the old mammalian emotional mind, and the older yet reptilian instinctive mind. I am using "mind" and brain interchangeably here.

They all have inputs with the modern reasoning mind being in control of direction and goals most of the time (except when I am asleep).

That is what I attempt anyway - to be as rational and reasoning as possible most of the time. My emotions do set some or many of my goals - if not then I would be very unhappy most of the time.

A long twisted way to say my mind is in control most of the time.

Most of the time I try not to deal with real life,:) but when I have to I actually use my mind to try and come up with the best solution.

Then I have to fight with my body to go through with the decision;) It is not always easy, as you probably know.

Cassidy,
who is often split in two....

didtinctions, distinctions

when my son was a very little boy, he once said "the mind and the body are part of the same thing".

I will have to agree with that. But, sometimes my mind & body are both in sync with each other...and that's a good thing!

I have been in many of situations where my mind is thinking one thing and my body wanting another. And both have won out! I suppose it all depends on the situation and what's going on.

I never said that I didn't have any struggles! LMAO!

It's like the devil on one shoulder and the angel sitting on the other.;)

Body / Mind

I've made decicions with my head and kinda regretted it, even if I think it's for the best.

I now kinda regret a decision I made about 2 months back - I used to chat to someone online who betrayed me, and I decided it would be best to never chat to each other again (because I knew what happened the last time, and knew it would happen again).

I don't really regret the decision I made, I just miss chatting to them.

I must say that I'm not averse to letting my body / heart do some of the decision making - I sure have had some fun that way :)

To say the least. :p

But I do agree with the post.

It depends on what it is.... my body often can't resist, but once in a while, my mind makes the right decision....

I follow my heart first, mind second, and body last. This is not always a good thing though. My heart is not overly bright, and my mind, well my mind just thinks too damn much! I think there needs to be some sort of balance, but I cannot seem to find it. I am learning though. There are definately times I allow my body to take over rule, but I have to forcibly shut that mouthy mind of mine up. I find that my heart and mind agree most of the time, but I have a feeling that my heart is extremely manipulative ;)

The more I use my brain to write here, the further down the brain stem and nervous system the control center moves.

By the time I've finished an installment, the control resides somewhere below my ribs...
