Who makes the first move?

I always thought (and not sure why I thought this) that the woman is actually the one who makes the first move. She just lets the man think he is making the first move.

But then a guy friend told me that it doesn't work if the guy doesn't make the first move because he needs to feel like the thrill of the hunt and all.

And then I got to thinking. Ack! What if, the guys are really doing the same to us women? They are actually making the first move but letting us think that we are!

I guess in the overall scheme of things, it doesn't matter. But my inquiring mind wants to know.

What are your thoughts on this?

I think it doesn’t matter who makes the first move as long as they fall in to step alongside each other eventually. I’ve made the first move and I’ve had men make the first move and neither is better or worse for me than the other. Both are a lot of fun.

I feel you, I'm not sure who is supposed to make the first move but I guess that's a matter of perspective so no one is really wrong or right.

I usually hope the woman makes the first move. I'm horrible at reading signals so I find that to be the best way. (That and I'm a naturally shy and reserved person)

To me its a chess game. I'll make a small move to gauge interest, she'll make a move in response, I'll make another move, etc. And hopefully we all end up gooey in the end.

I think it's that way everywhere. At least it is for me. My mom and daughter are constantly accusing me of flirting with people. Nope. I'm just being who I am.
