I like hentai!

I remember the first hentai I ever saw. It was "Fencer of Minerva." It was incredible to see all that raunchy sexual bondage imagery in an adventure-oriented storyline, at a time when you never saw bound women actually getting fucked or sucking cock in any kind of live-action feature, it was all whip, whip whip, cane, cane cane. And here were these incredible Japanese cartoons with women tied up, chained up, gagged, suspended, hooded, you name it, and they were sucking cock and getting their brains fucked senseless.

I had never come across any imagery that even came CLOSE to what I saw in hentai. And it wasn't JUST that there were such sexual bondage scenes to be found occasionally in hentai, like you find mild bondage imagery in mainstream movies and softcore porn, it was that hentai were just CHOCK FULL of the stuff. Great sexual bondage scenes just SPURT out of hentai.

But it wasn't JUST THAT. Hentai also had some real stories to go along with all the hot bondage imagery. Often they were done in a sense of goofy fun, like "Dragon Pink" or the "Slave Warrior Maya" ep of "Cool Devices." Sometimes they were semi-serious advantures, like "Fencer of Minerva."

Even now, there's no visual porn in the US that I know of that combines strong stories with explicit sexual bondage imagery anywhere, even on the Internet. There are WRITTEN stories that match and surpass hentai, but nothing even close in visual media, execpt perhaps for a few adult-oriented comics.

Anyway, that's why I like hentai. :nana:

Doesn't do much for me.

Can't help but think of how much bacteria is floating about on those tentacles. Just really non-hygienic if you ask me.

I like hentai, in moderation, of course. Much like any porn, there's only so many "plots" they can have, so when they start repeating it's like watching reruns. It's only funny for so long.

But overall, sure. I like it. It's anime with less clothes.

I'm an Otaku.

Love anime.
Like hentai.

Some of my favs are Imma Yujo, Dragon Pink (which is more raunchy fantasy then anything else) and Cool Devices.

Maybe you been watching the wrong anime. Don't care for the tentacle stuff myself.

I like "Cool Devices" ...
-shrug-
It's pretty cool.

I like hentai! Animated, or drawn pictures are my favorite visual porn. I agree with Scott McCloud's book Understanding Comics when he suggests that the fewer details are in a figure, the more we can identify ourselves with the character. Those two-dimensional, over-simplified, pornographic imaginings do it for me every time!

I agree with that theory, to a certain extent. However, I think there's gotta be a certain minimum of realism for people to identify with a drawing, else stick figures would be the hottest thing in porn. I wrote a review of the hentai Princess 69 in which I pointed out that some hentai have animations of blowjobs which are little better than stick figures, comparing them unfavorably with the powerful and expressive imagery to be found in Princess 69, even where blowjobs are involved.

But I also wrote a review of a non-hentai but kinda adult video called Virtual Star 3000, which was a compilation of ultra-realistic 3D animations. There was one animation of a Poser babe dancing in a dungeon filled with demons that was just WRONG. Her elbows and so forth bent in the wrong ways when she moved.

That made me realize that, as the quality of an animation approaches photography, the standards for it go up. Because if you're lookng at an image and taking it as an image of a real human being, very slight flaws in the animation that would not be a problem for an obvious toon figure become disturbing and off-putting.

So I definitely think there's a middle ground there. Until 3D animation becomes so good that it's indistinguishable from photographic imagery (in which case, anything goes) adult anime will have to occupy a middle ground between the stick figure stuff and realistic imagery, which it already does anyway.

There's a lot of stuff out there that I just cannot bear to understand its appeal.

I understand completely. For example, the hentai Magic Woman M contains a scene in which two female adventurers, one of the the titular Magic Woman M, are raped by Creature of the Black Lagoon-like demons. When they break the spell that made the rape possible, there's a very weird miscarriage scene in which fetus-like things slide out of the women's bodies while they lay on their sides looking sick. Now who the hell thought that would be fun for anyone to watch in a sexy adult anime? It's mind-boggling. And frankly, that's one of the things I LIKE about hentai, you never know WHAT the hell those crazy hentai guys are gonna come up with next.
